The James Beard Foundation can’t get enough of Charleston. As part of their third annual Taste America: Local Flavor from Coast to Coast tour, JBF is visiting the Holy City, and nine other foodie hubs around the country. The event kicks off on Fri. Sept. 25 with a reception and dinner at the (yet-to-open) Cedar Room inside the Cigar Factory.

The reception will include tastings by Cypress’ Craig Deihl, The Grocery’s Kevin Johnson, Two Boroughs Larder’s Josh Keeler, and FIG’s Jason Stanhope (winner of this year’s Best Chef: Southeast JBF award). The dinner menu will be crafted by two JFB award-winners: Art Smith from of Chicago’s Table Fifty-Two and The Ordinary’s Mike Lata. The dinner will also feature host chef Jeremiah Bacon from The Macintosh and pastry chef Lauren Mitterer of WildFlour Pastry.

For $275 attendees have access to both the reception and dinner, with two other ticket options: VIP at $375 and table for 10 at $2,500.

For more frugal-minded food-lovers, there’s a day of free culinary events at Le Creuset on Sat. Sept. 26, featuring Chef Smith.

Tickets may be purchased here.
