Ditch those leftover Halloween Necco wafers, trade-up for peppermint bark, and put the Rudolph nose on the minivan. It’s November, so that means it’s the holiday season, right?
We kid. Kind of. But with Starbucks already dishing out red cups and crews spotted in Marion Square this weekend decorating the palmettos with twinkle lights, there’s no doubt that the most wonderful time of the year is upon us.
There’s perhaps no stronger sign of the season than the sweet sounds of “Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey” or “Santa Baby” spilling out of every storefront and passing car. As of now, no Charleston radio station has started spinning Burl Ives, yet. In 2014, Y 102.5 started playing holiday tunes on November 7. This year, they want your input on when they should flip the switch. A completely unscientific poll on their website this morning asks Charlestonians to weigh in with responses from “Right Now!” to “Never.”
Head over to Y 102.5’s site to weigh in. Winter is coming.
