Every month Creative Mornings Charleston (CMCHS) hosts a free early morning talk on topics that have ranged from Ink to Action to Shock — and we’ve loved every second of each one. This month’s topic, though, has us a little concerned. We kind of don’t want to talk about work right before we go to work, ya know? Needless to say, we’re intrigued to see how CMCHS handles this month’s theme of “work,” especially with speaker Susan Hull Walker, a renaissance woman if there ever was one.

Walker is best known in Charleston for her company ibu, which supports women around the world through textile-making. Walker is a weaver herself and she works with women’s cooperatives to help preserve their skills and stories. If that isn’t cool enough, Walker also has a pretty fascinating background — she served as a minister for 18 years after studying world religions at Harvard Divinity School.

This week’s talk will be held at Redux and you can sign up here starting at 10 a.m.

We are excited to announce the next theme for Creative Mornings is WORK! Tickets will go live the Monday before at 10am…
