[image-1]Adam Randall’s long promised North Charleston fish and chips shop, The Codfather, finally has an opening date. Randall says he’ll unlock the doors at 1809 Reynolds Ave. on Wed. Jan. 6.

“We’ll be opening Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.to 7:30 p.m. at first,” Randall says.

Back in June Eric Doksa caught up with Randall on his tour of local pubs and the entrepreneur explained that he got his start working in his Dad’s fish and chips shop in Pennsylvania.

His idea for The Codfather is an old-school chipper with hearty English food. Randall says he’ll use both cod and haddock and his own special recipe batter. Patrons can also expect meat pies like steak and kidney and chicken and mushroom, plus jumbo sausages, and sides like mushy peas and mash.

Eventually Randall hopes to add a proper English bar to cater to those in the Navy Yard area.
