Atlanta Chef Ford Fry (of The Optimist, Bar Margot, and more) is no longer opening a restaurant in Charleston’s Cigar Factory. His publicist Ashlyn Carter says that Fry has ended his plans to open Superica, a Tex-Mex spot in the space.

“We still have our eye on Charleston, we just don’t have a lease yet,” Carter says.

As for Fry’s current expansions, he’s opening a seafood restaurant called BeetleCat in Atlanta that’s expected to open in November.
