ArtFields, the annual arts fest in Lake City, S.C., is now accepting submissions for its fourth annual portrait contest. Applicants can submit work at ArtFieldssc.org through Mar. 18 at 5 p.m. Of those who apply, 24 artists will be given the opportunity to compete in a Best of Show competition on April 30 when they will live paint models, with 12 artists moving on to a second round and six artists competing in the final round. The winner will walk away with a $1,000 cash prize, while second place earns $500 and third places goes home with $250.
ArtFields was founded in 2013 with the goal of honoring and acknowledging Southeastern artists with a week-long celebration. This year the fest will feature over 400 different pieces of art in Lake City venues like renovated warehouses, art galleries, and start-up boutiques.
