Local label Academia Tapes is hosting its very first festival — a Beach Ball — on Sun. May 8 at Jack of Cups Saloon on Folly Beach.
The outdoor shindig will feature sounds from the tape label’s own Dumb Doctors, Secret Guest, YR LAD, Indiana Junk, Dear Blanca, Issac Story, and Gloom Cocoon.
Bring some dolla bills, because there will be a massive merch table, where you’ll find tapes, shirts, posters, comics, and more from all the bands.
Since the show is on Mother’s Day, Academia Tapes is kindly offering a free tape to any moms in attendance.
All the action starts at 2 p.m., and admission is free, people.
