You’ve heard of F&B industry nights at bars and restaurants, but what about the local folks bustin’ their buttocks to bring us sweet music? That’s what the guys at Stereo 8 (951 Folly Road) thought when they decided to start up their own music industry appreciation night on Tuesdays.
Beginning Tues. April 19, anyone who makes music or is somehow involved in the industry can get 30 percent off their bill. “It’s our way of saying, ‘Thank you,’” says co-owner Joe Walker. “Thank you for working so hard to create and grow Charleston’s music community.”
Cash in on the discount by presenting proof of your musical credentials, like a business card, album, or Facebook page. Stereo 8 has also sent out an impressive kit to a few friends in the industry that comes complete with a Stereo 8 discount card, a pack of rolling papers (yep, you read that right), and a compilation CD of some of Walker’s favorite tracks.
