Who doesn’t get excited about throwback jams? Imagine listening to Nelly and Wu-Tang songs while eating as much barbecue as you can stuff your face with and sipping on a PBR tallboy. Sounds like a pretty slammin’ night to me.
The Alley is throwing what it’s calling a “hip hop BBQ” party, inspired by the Spotify playlist of the same name, out on the patio on Sat. July 16. DJ rDot will be spinning jams from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. while you gorge yourself on all-you- can-eat barbecue and beer for $15. A single plate of barbecue will only cost $8, or you can attend the event sans-food for free.
And there is no DJ better fit for a night full of throwbacks than rDot. This is the same guy known for playing Backstreet Boys songs at Midtown. For updates and additional info, check out the Facebook event page.
