This week we saw more of Charleston and the first instance of the city identified specifically on HBO’s new Vice Principals.

Vice Principal Gamby (Danny McBride) rode a school bus down I-26 in North Charleston all the way to Charles Towne Landing, site of the first English settlement in Carolina. At the historic sight, Gamby, teachers, and students shot muskets, danced on a boat by the marsh, and ate turkey legs. Not a bad day if you ask us. Sadly, in real life Charles Towne Landing only allows living historians to shoot muskets and well, turkey legs, really? The cast then completed their day at the North Charleston Embassy Suites.

On this episode, we also saw Gamby visit Pineville MotoCross park to watch his ex-wife’s husband race around the facility’s dirt tracks. Spoiler alert: He didn’t seem amused.

With Charles Towne Landing making a cameo this week, we saw a deeper dive into the city’s scenery. Lets hope Vice Principals keeps it up.
