The man suspected of stealing $345 from a Girl Scout troop has been captured, according to the Charleston Police Department.

On Sun. Feb. 26, a group of Girl Scouts were selling cookies outside of Petco at 975 Savannah Highway when a man snatched the container from their table and escaped with the dough.

In response to a tip, Stephen Andrew Sciarrino, 31, was arrested and charged with purse snatching. According to Charleston police, a citizen called Crime Stoppers and said the suspect was in a Morris Street residence getting a haircut. After receiving a description of the residence and suspect, officers then apprehended Sciarrino at the home.
