The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art wants to know if you can name five women artists. Don’t worry too much about it if you get stuck — it can be harder than you think. That’s what this social media campaign, started by the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA), is all about.

March is Women’s History Month and NMWA, located in D.C. and described as “the world’s only major museum solely dedicated to celebrating the creative contributions of women,” challenges everyone to spread the #5WomenArtists movement. Museums across the country, including the Halsey, are hopping onboard with the campaign.

Throughout the month of March the Halsey will be posting about favorite women artists in the museum’s history. Maybe you should too.
