Last Thursday, a formation of 15 massive C-17 Globemaster IIIs rumbled over the Ravenel Bridge as part of a large formation exercise ahead of the holiday weekend.
In photos released today by the Department of Defense, you can see the long train of the cargo planes, which are designed to fly hulking payloads across the planet in support of U.S. operations overseas.
The day also included an airdrop exercise at Pope Army Airfield near Fayetteville, N.C.
