[image-1]Meeting Street has a new restaurant as of 5 p.m. tonight. Sol Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar opens its third restaurant at 385 Meeting St.

According to a press release, the sister property of Summerville and Mt. Pleasant’s Sol restaurants will feature “a large indoor dining room, indoor/outdoor bar, and spacious patio,” and sit next to the Visitor’s Center Bus Shed.

Sol owners David Clark, Andy Palmer, and Joe Sciortino opened their original location in Mt. Pleasant in 2013 in the the old Crab House on Hwy. 17. While CP critic Robert Moss gave it a less than glowing review in 2014, that hasn’t stopped Mt. P-ers from packing the place nightly which might have something to do with the bar.

Sol boasts a 60 bottle list of 100 percent agave tequila in addition to hand-crafted cocktails prepared with “juices squeezed fresh daily.”

Get a look at the new downtown location beginning tonight.
