[image-1]Instead of traveling to the Big Apple to see Broadway shows, head to North Charleston for a lineup of some big musicals this season. Breaking records the first time it ran in Charleston in 2015 (it was the highest grossing one week show in the Performing Arts Center’s Best of Broadway series), The Book of Mormon returns to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center to play a limited run from October 17 to 22.

In case ya didn’t know, the irreverent play is about Mormon missionaries who go to Uganda on a conversion mission. Obviously, they run into a lot of shenanigans along the way, so witty and charmingly offensive humor is to be expected.

Tickets go on sale Mon. August 7 at 10 a.m. and are expected to go quickly. You can get them at the box office, online from Ticketmaster, or by calling 1 (800) 745-3000.
