Last year, CP gave readers suggestions about how to help non-commerical, locally produced radio station OHM 96.3 reach its second birthday. Well, dear readers, looks like some of you took our advice, because the radioheads over at OHM will be throwing another variety show to celebrate two trips around the sun.

Thurs. August 24 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at PURE, get a front row seat to check out the voices made for radio. Tickets are $12 and benefit OHM. The “on-air” event will include musical performances by Grace Joyner and the Very Hypnotic Soul Band, and sure-to-be hilarious, insightful views from the crew behind EffinB Radio.

If you haven’t tuned in yet, be sure to turn your dial to 96.3, or listen on your nearest computer/handheld device. OHM is Chucktown’s first community, commercial free radio station, and it’s dedicated to playing local, independent, and legendary artists. They also work to promote local nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and social groups. Now that’s some serious harmony.
