Mythbusters might have gone off the air, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get your fix of the scientifically-tested fun that Adam Savage and Michael Stevens are famous for. That’s right, folks — Brain Candy Live is coming to Charleston on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The two-hour show focuses simply on letting Savage and Stevens cook up the kind of fun that they do best.

Savage is best known for his work on the Discovery Channel show, Mythbusters, but he last year teamed up with the White House (Obama era, of course) in an effort to encourage the kids (and grown-ups) of the world to get more involved in inventing, making, and interacting with science. Co-host Stevens is the host of popular educational YouTube Channel VSauce, which has garnered 17 million subscribers and recently received a Webby for Best Science and Education Network. The website describes the show as “a playdate with Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, and Willy Wonka.”

If that’s not enough to convince you, we really don’t know what is. These guys will be in Charleston for one night only in December — what better Christmas gift for the young scientist in your family than a night of geeking out with some of the most entertaining minds in science? For more information on the show and to get your hands on a pair of tickets before it’s too late, head over to braincandylive.com.

Tickets are on sale this Fri. Aug. 11 at 10 a.m.
