[embed-1]Next year marks 41 years of Cooper River Bridge runs in Charleston. The infamous road race is best known for drawing nearly 40,000 runners to our fair city every year, but perhaps even more infamous are the various T-shirt/poster designs that the event rolls out for each race.

Designers from far and wide submit images that somehow incorporate the Ravenel Bridge. Past designs have drawn praise and ridicule, but this year’s image, from New York-based printmaker Bill Waitzman, looks pretty damn good to us. Waitzman’s works have been featured in the New Yorker, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal, so he’s got some experience under his belt.

Learn more about Waitzman on his website. And get stoked for the Bridge Run, slated for Sat. April 7, 2017.
