[image-1]All Charleston County School District schools and offices will close on Fri. Sept. 8 in preparation for the potential impact of Hurricane Irma. Schools and offices will remain closed the following Monday and Tuesday in anticipation of the storm, according to school officials.
All afterschool activities, including athletics, any special events and board meetings scheduled to take place Thursday have also been canceled, but the Kaleidoscope program will still operate for the day.
“We will continue to closely monitor this weather event and will communicate with parents, staff, and the community as frequently as possible about any changes or additional closures,” says an announcement from the district’s Office of Strategy and Communications.
