[image-1]If you’re a professional visual artist creating two- or three-dimensional works (that can be wall-hung), now is the time to apply to get your pieces in North Charleston’s City Gallery. The City’s Cultural Arts Department manages the space, rotating exhibitions every month. Apply online (for free!) by Nov. 30 for your work to be considered for an exhibit next year, July 2018-June 2019. A panel will review and decide on selected artists this December.

The North Charleston City Gallery is located in the Charleston Area Convention Center, with exhibits open daily, free of charge to the public. Public receptions for exhibits on display are typically held on the first Thursday of the month, 5-7 p.m.

And, fear not — if you’re an artist creating freestanding sculptures or installations you can submit an exhibition proposal to culturalarts@northcharleston.org, to be considered for other locations in the city.
