Since 2013, the small town of Lake City, SC has played host to what is now one of the largest art festivals in the South, ArtFields.

If you are an artist living in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia, now through Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. you can submit your work online for a chance to exhibit at the 2018 ArtFields festival (April 20-28).

Since its inception, ArtFields competitions have awarded more than half a million dollars in cash prizes to artists from the region. Grand prize winners receive $50,000, second place winners receive $25,000, and two people’s choice winners receive $12,500. There are also seven categories with awards of $1,500 and 10 merit awards of $1,000.

Selected artists — a jury of visual art professionals will select approximately 400 pieces for the competition from artists ages 18 and up specializing in any and every medium — will exhibit their work in Lake City galleries, historic buildings, offices, and cafes. With visitors flocking to the historic town during the nine day fest to take in the influx of art, Lake City population nearly triples, ensuring exposure for up and coming artists.
