Calling all crafty bastards: Charleston’s latest and greatest arts and crafts festival, Crafty Bastards, takes place on Sat. Dec. 2 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at The Joe, and we still have a few spots left artists to apply. The City Paper-sponsored event features unconventional and hard-to-find arts and crafts from talented local artisans.

Crafty Bastards originated in Washington, D.C. over a decade ago, presented by the Washington City Paper. The exhibition and sale of handmade goods from independent, local artists took off, and has been holding strong in D.C. for 13 years. Last year the Nashville Scene also presented Crafty Bastards. And today’s your last chance to be part of Charleston’s inaugural event.

The application fee is $20; if you’re accepted the vendor booth fee is $200. Apply now online by 11:59 tonight. The application requires that you include a description of your work and products you’ll have for sale, in addition to five images. Still need convincing that applying is the best decision you’ll make today? Check out a video below with interviews from Nashville Scene’s Crafty Bastards artists.
