Local favorite Brave Baby has spent most of this year quietly creating a follow-up record to 2015’s Plastic Skateboard, and the new collection is steadily getting ready for your ears. In the meantime, check out these words (video below) about adding to the local scene from frontman Keon Masters with Charleston Arts Festival (CAF) founder Andrew Walker ahead of the indie-rockers’ CAF performance next weekend. They’ll play along with local hip-hop artist Benny Starr, pop-rock troupe Beach Tiger, and rock band Matadero at the CAF finale on Sat. Oct. 28 at the Royal American, 4-11 p.m.

Stay tuned next week to the City Paper‘s Feedback File for further details on the record’s first single and what else has been brewing with one of Charleston’s most explosive bands.
