Although Black Wood Smokehouse opened nearly three months ago, the Windemere restaurant is hosting its grand opening next Friday Nov. 3.

In a press release, co-owner Allison Jacobson says that “the recent renovation of the restaurant provides guests with a comfortable, friendly neighborhood setting, while
showcasing superior quality products and service.”

The restaurant’s grand opening will offer regular dinner service from 5 to 10 p.m., with complimentary pre-appetizer and dessert courses for each table. Black Wood serves lunch and dinner Tues.- Sat. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and starting Sun. Nov. 5, will serve brunch 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Happy hour runs every Tues.-Fri. from 4 to 7 p.m., Mack Attack Tuesdays offer local pints with a Mack Shack burger for $12, and wine flight Wednesday offers a selection of three white or red wines for $13.

In addition to the requisite smoked meats, menu items include salads, wings, sandwiches, pot roast, shrimp and grits, a variety of sides, plus pudding, pie, and Cirsea ice cream milk shakes. The restaurant also serves craft cocktails, draft and bottle beer, and sparkling, white, and red wine.
