[image-1]About 32 minutes into Steve Bannon’s speech Friday night at The Citadel, just as the former Trump aide had arrived at the subject of rape allegations against President Bill Clinton, a protester interrupted the speech before being escorted out by law enforcement.
Citadel officials tell us that Emily Abedon of Sullivan’s Island was given a courtesy summons and cited for disorderly conduct for the incident. We are requesting a full report of the altercation from the military college.
[image-2]Early in his speech, as the former Trump campaign leader breathlessly recounted election day 2016, “MAGA Day” as he calls it now, Bannon credited the “hand of divine Providence” that helped millionaire businessman Donald Trump president of the United States. When Abedon entered the ballroom in the Alumni Center on Friday, she asked “Mr. Bannon, was it the ‘divine hand’ of God…” before being drowned out by attendees’ boos.
After the woman was escorted out with a little help from law enforcement, Bannon said, “I’d like to thank one of my ex-wives for showing up tonight.” The joke got a roaring reaction and standing applause from several suits in attendance.
“You’re a good girl,” he finished.
