[image-1]It’s officially holiday season, which means between your double fudge-making aunt Ida and your generous-with-the-booze bestie and the ubiquitous office holiday popcorn tin, things tend to get a little heavy.
Lighten up your desk lunch with Koa Bowls, the newest Workshop tenant pop-up. You may recognize the concept from the food truck parked at the corner of George and Glebe St. Mon. through Fri. on the College of Charleston campus.
Specializing in Southern California and Hawaiian flavors, Koa Bowls will be popping up inside Bad Wolf Coffee beginning today at 11 a.m. The pop-up will be open Sun-Thurs. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fri. and Sat. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
[image-3]The poke bowls start at $10 and you can choose from salmon, ahi tuna, or avocado as a main, brown or white rice as a base, a handful of toppings, and a few sauces. Koa also offers acai bowls, a manoa chicken teriyaki bowl, and poke nachos.
And, once you’re feeling a bit healthier, dedicate your Sundays to indulgence. Workshop O.G.’s Slice Co. have announced that they will be launching a brunch pop-up in the Juan Luis stall every Sun. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu will include shakshuka, ricotta pancakes, scrambled mess (polenta cake, pickled veggies, mushrooms, and eggs), a chicken parm hero, and a meatball sub. You will still be able to get your ‘za on, too, if you so desire, with Slice serving slices starting at 11 a.m. in their usual spot Sundays.
