[image-1]Donate a turkey (or other sizable protein) and $20 to One80 Place shelter tomorrow to help one of this city’s most important organizations.

One80 Place works to help prevent and end homelessness in Charleston by housing people, helping individuals find employment, and feeding 175,782 meals last year alone.

In order to continue their mission, One80 Place is inviting donations of a frozen turkey and a $20 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, Tues. Nov. 21. Last year, hosting the same fundraiser, brought in 500 turkeys, which helped the kitchen serve 6,000 meals and raised $20,000 to help end homelessness for individuals and families.

A press release says, “Donors can snap car-side selfies with local personalities and sports mascots, and will be treated to Chick-fil-A sandwich coupons.”

“We planned this event so that everyone can have the opportunity to engage in the spirit of giving no matter how busy their schedule. In the short time it takes to drive through and drop off a turkey and a 20, someone can help feed hundreds of people,” says CEO Stacey Denaux. “This annual event ensures we have protein on-hand to feed people throughout the coming year.”

Stop by 35 Walnut St. tomorrow to make a donation.
