Co-owner Mike Ray says it’s official: 1 Broad Street restaurant will open for brunch this Sun. Nov. 26.

We got wind of the news via 1 Broad’s Instagram where the restaurant posted a picture today of its recently acquired permits.

“Yeahya party people that means brunch on Sunday,” the post says.

The new restaurant, housed in the former Carolina First bank at the corner of Broad and East Bay streets, is the latest from the owner of Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery and will be helmed by Chef Kevin Getzewich (most recently of Macintosh). The chef will bring to life what Ray earlier called an “Upper East Side Waffle House.” What does that mean? Eater Charleston posted the menu which includes: smoked trout schmear, pork roll, scrapple, and vegetable and grain sides.

1 Broad Street will be open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
