Sitting down to a meal is often the harbinger of memorable moments: laughter exchanged with friends, news shared by loved ones, friendship grown with strangers. This December, the Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre seeks to create an experience akin to these with their presentation of The Kriss Kross: The Night Inspector NoClue Almost Saved Christmas.
The mystery theater dinner begins at 7 p.m on Thurs. Dec. 7 with a buffet-style dinner — featuring dishes like ancho chili-rubbed beef and smashed Yukon potatoes— accompanied by a performance of The Kriss Kross: The Night Inspector NoClue Almost Saved Christmas. Described as a holiday “who done it” mystery, the show follows the disappearance of a socialite’s beloved Maltese, “Fruitcake,” at a holiday party.
The event is hosted by Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre, founded by Charleston transplants Darryl and Sherry Wade in 2012. The Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre and Shoppe showcases comic-mystery performances that feature professional actors and volunteer participants.

The Kriss Kross dinner theater show will be held in the Montague Terrace at the North Charleston Coliseum. Tickets are $40 and include dinner, the show, and gratuity (group discounts are available for parties of four or more). There will be a cash-only bar and free parking.
