Just shy of a year since opening, Pancito & Lefty (708 King St.) announces it has a new chef team. That’s right, the restaurant has hired three chefs to replace founder and opening Chef Robert Berry.

In Sept. the Post & Courier reported that Berry and partners John Frick and Jimmy Poole had initiated a split. Berry’s attorney J. Taylor Powell told the paper that the Frick and Poole “sought to oust (Berry) as an employee,” a move Berry said went against their business agreement.  The partners are still working through a settlement, however Pancito & Lefty’s publicist did confirm that Berry “retains partnership interest in the restaurant at this time.”

The new chefs are making changes to the menu and beverage list that the press release says will still feature “authentic flavors and techniques of Oaxaca and other regions of Mexico.” A rotating lunch $10 lunch special will be added in addition to a dinner service with more shareable family style options.

Pancito & Lefty is also now accepting reservations as well as UberEATS delivery for lunch.  [location-1] [embed-1]
