You can’t miss it. Waltz into the Mercantile door of Mercantile and Mash and it stands before you in all its elaborate, sweet-tooth imbued glory.
Mercantile’s gingerly laid gingerbread village is made of 10 pounds of icing, 20 pounds of gingerbread, and five pounds of coconut shreds. Indigo Road properties O-Ku, Oak Steakhouse, Macintosh, and Indaco are the main feature of the village, while snowmen, Santa, tiny reindeer, a candy lake, and snow-lined pine trees complete the scene.
Merc and Mash pastry chef Lindsey Reynolds and her team created the village in one week, and their hard work is evident — no detail is overlooked. While you cannot take this winter wonderland home with you (seriously, don’t try), you can purchase a miniature version for $35.
As of today, there were 16 houses left, and four of the houses have a hidden $25 Merc and Mash gift certificate inside their sweet and crunchy walls. Sounds like the odds for scoring one of these golden tickets are pretty good.[location-1]
