[image-1] After its successful first year, the A.R.T. (Academics, Research and Treatment) of Mental Health Gallery Gala returns to Trager Contemporary for an evening of fundraising for the health outreach programs of MUSC’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The gallery hosts this event on Sat. Oct. 20 with early access at 6 p.m. and regular admission at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased online.
The gala features food from Chef Brett McKee, Saltwater Cowboys, Felix, and Blackwood Smokehouse, as well as booze from Firefly Distillery. In addition to meeting Trager Contemporary’s artists, guests can also enjoy live music from One Kool Blow.
All ticket sales benefit MUSC’s health outreach programs; MUSC patients have also donated art to the event, which will be sold with all proceeds donated to MUSC. And, if you buy art from the gallery, 10 percent of that sale will be donated as well.
In a press release co-owner of Trager, Josiah Trager, says, “It’s so important to both help MUSC’s mental health outreach programs and try to eliminate the stigma of seeking help for our mental health.”
