[embed-1]The Food Network’s Big Food Truck Tip and its host, Andrew Zimmern, came to Charleston to sample some of the food trucks we have to offer and give the Food Network stamp of approval.

The premise of the show, which was just launched this year, is that Zimmern travels the country “in search of the most passionate food truck entrepreneurs” and rewards one with a $10,000 tip.

On his Lowcountry visit, Zimmern profiled Brunch Holiday, Johnny’s Homemade Biscuits, and Squeals on Wheels, and gave the brunch truck that sweet grand prize.

We asked Natalie Brock, operations manager and half of the husband-and-wife team behind Brunch Holiday, what they were going to do with the money. Apparently, it couldn’t have come at a better time: “[husband and Brunch Holiday Chef] Tim had a hip replacement in August and I was pregnant. We really needed money to invest in extra equipment and to keep the truck going so thankfully now we’re able to do this and put some aside for our son’s future.”

Scotch eggs for the win!
