Besides being on the road with Doom Flamingo, Kanika Moore has a lot more brewing, including a new album and music video. Find out what all Moore has up her sleeve in this week’s Beat Juice.

What song is stuck in your head today?
“F-16” by Doom Flamingo, “How Deep is Your Love” covered by PJ Morton and Yebba, and “Nakamarra” by Hiatus Kaiyote have been bouncing around in my head. I cover a lot of genres in my line of work, so there’s always music playing in my head. Those three have been pretty strong the past couple of weeks and today.

What band have you been meaning to listen to?
There’s always new music that I have on my to-hear list. I’ve been meaning to listen to
Terraphonics’ album all the way through.

What’s next for you? Shows, videos, song or album releases?
Right now, I’m on the road with Doom Flamingo, Umphrey’s Mcgee, and Chawah band. We (Doom Flamingo) just released “Runaway” on Spotify. Still have more to release. I‘m also working on a jazz cover album to be released before June 2019. We’re also working on a video for one of our songs with Doom Flamingo.
