With Valentine’s Day in our rearview mirror, we are finally through Engagement Season as we all mentally prepare for nuptials season. So, we were happy to take a break from all of the OMG YAY/SO HAPPY FOR YOU/!!!!!! reactions until Expedia’s blog, Viewfinder, named Charleston one of the “Best Places to Propose in the US.” Charleston took the no. 8 spot with Indianapolis taking the top spot. They do have the original LOVE statue by Robert Indiana, so… we get it.

If you haven’t popped the question yet, the blog helpfully suggests some places to propose, including the picturesque bridge at Magnolia Plantation and “Battery Park,” which we assume is a mash-up of White Point Garden and the actual Battery wall.

Color us unsurprised. Live in, visit, or even exist in Charleston for long enough and you’ll surely stumble on a couple getting engaged, or at least the photoshoot that will make it Instagram-official. Throw a stone on King Street late on a Saturday night and odds are good you’ll hit a bride-to-be or at least her maid of honor. Ouch.

Omg. yay. So happy for you, Charleston.
