On Sat. Apr. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m., Mt. Pleasant Regional Library hosts the fifth annual Tiny Tim Birthday event, celebrating the life and career of famous musician Tiny Tim.

Tiny Tim was an American singer and ukulele player, best known for his cover of “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” and his live marriage to Miss Vicki on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

The Tiny Tim Birthday Event, or “Tinystock,” will begin with a 45-minute talk about Tiny Tim’s career and reputation in country music from catalog librarian Greg Frohnsdorff.

A slideshow of Tiny Tim memorabilia will be shown to audiences, as well as an update on the Swedish documentary Tiny Tim — King For A Day, a close observation of Tiny Tim’s life.

Then, a screening of Tiny Tim’s last recorded interview and performance, Tiny Tim’s Songs and Stories of the Crooners, will play, followed by other activities and special events.

And on that same day, a special vinyl release of Tiny Tim’s performance at Albert Royal Hall will be available at participating stores for Record Store Day.
