[embed-1] Yesterday, Brown Dog Deli posted on their Instagram that they’re closing their location at 225 Calhoun St. In their post they suggest that people continue to visit their original location at 40 Broad St.
Brown Dog Deli has not responded to a request for more information on their closing.
[content-3] 225 Calhoun St. is formerly the location of Smith Street Pizza (which had just a three month stint before closing) and before that Norm’s Pizza, which occupied the building for 37 years.
The restaurant space is currently listed for sale on Restaurants for Sale (Charleston) for $220,000 or for rent for $7,154/month. Two years ago the space was listed for $149,900 and $6,500/month. Rent in Charleston’s a bitch, eh?
