Charleston-based Home Team BBQ will open its fifth location on Monday at 11 a.m. in the busy Five Points neighborhood of Columbia.

The restaurant takes over the old Harper’s restaurant building at 700 Harden St., a landmark location in an area populated by popular college bars and local-favorite haunts.

The newest Home Team will serve lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch as well as late-night food service.

“Home Team invites all to skip the drive thru and indulge in a specialty menu of satisfying snacks, both large and small, available from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m. nightly,” HT said in a press release on Friday.

(The area also features several fast food and drive-through spots where revelers flock in the wee hours.)

Diners can expect much of the same fare as the restaurant’s other locations including frozen Game Changer cocktails and the life-giving smoked wings.

Home Team in Columbia will be open seven days a week, 11 a.m. – 2 a.m.

Home Team opened in West Ashley in 2006 and has since expanded to downtown, Sullivan’s Island; and Aspen, Colo.
