Back in the Sun” Is a new song and video performed and produced by Charleston’s own Danielle Howle. Everything about this release is calming and grounding. Following an intro on her acoustic guitar Howle’s vocals hit the mic, filling the room with humbling lyrics about existing in our world today.

The experience that Howle designs with this video is a serene one. Her strong and crisp vocals and masterful guitar playing allow for the listener to drift comfortably into the grayscale space she and her music create.

Since her start back in the 80’s in Colombia, SC, Howle has been creating music both in groups and during her solo career. This Americana, folky singer songwriter has been part of the groups Lay Quiet Awhile and Danielle Howle and The Tantrums, as well as conducting a successful solo career touring with big names like The Avett Brothers, Indigo Girls and Hootie and the Blowfish. Now in Awendaw, SC, Howel is an artist in residence at Awendaw Green, a music venue and recording studio complex, and has been since its founding.
