The Charleston Music Hall will present a new outdoor, socially distanced concert series at The Bend, kicking off Oct. 3 with a performance from Charlton Singleton. SUSTO, Shovels and Rope, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and Ranky Tanky will also perform through Nov. 14.

In order to ensure social distancing, 250 squares that are each 10-by-10 will be offered for each party with a maximum of four guests each. A large aisle will allow guests to move freely while maintaining social distance. Masks will be required if guests leave their square.

There will be no food or drink sold at the event, but guests are encouraged to bring their own. Beer and wine are allowed as well as coolers, blankets and chairs. (Chairs will also be available for rent.)

There will be free on-site parking available.

The Bend is an open-air venue on Azalea Avenue in North Charleston along the Ashley River in an area that was most recently the low-income Ashley Shores community. The Pearlstine Company purchased the property in 2015, according to The Bend’s website, “in order to rehabilitate it.”

The series will run from Oct. 3 through Nov. 14. Tickets go on sale Sept. 11 at 10 a.m and can be found on Charleston Music Hall’s website
