CARTA to test Isle of Palms shuttle. This weekend, CARTA will test out a shuttle from Mount Pleasant to Isle of Palms after a summer of parking complaints from beach goers. While the beach season is winding down, Isle of Palms voted to eliminate free parking on the island for non-residents. The shuttle will leave from the Mount Pleasant office of the state Department of Motor Vehicles. Source: CARTA

Public input sought for airport access road. The state Department of Transportation is asking for public comment on a proposed connector road that would connect the airport and I-526 directly. It would displace about a dozen homes and businesses. Source: WCSC
