The Charleston Symphony Orchestra will stream its Holiday Pops concert for free this year online, Dec. 24 – Jan. 1. The concert was filmed across three performances over the weekend to a socially distanced audience.

The Holiday Pops concert will include performances of Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” a suite from The Polar Express and some new arrangements and mashups of holiday favorites.

Yuri Bekker, conductor for the CSO, said the concert can bring joy during the holiday season. “I am so happy that we are able to provide our community with music in the midst of this difficult time,” he said in a press release. “I hope many families, who would otherwise not be able to experience this concert, will now be able to watch and celebrate with us.”

The concert will be available online beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday. The livestream will end Jan. 1 at 11:59 p.m.
