McMaster is in the disease crosshairs, and given Trump’s sedition (on Jan. 6), McMaster has an opportunity to loosen up the loyalty grip on state pandemic policy to drive it to more successful outcomes for everyone.
McMaster demurred a reporter’s question yesterday concerning Trump’s support in 2022. A hopeful indication.
Hopefully, McMaster will get to the fundamentals of the disease’s science along with the S.C. Legislature to adopt universal masking. Make masking a medical device and not a political activity.
McMaster needs to reframe the focus of the future COVID-19 adoption program to Wash-Mask-Distance-Vaccinate (WMDV) in the broad vaccination communications initiative needed to increase the vaccination participation rate. The rate needs to be quite high to bend the spread curves down and avoid vaccination passport controls.
The reframing would also be just enough to finesse this broadside while resetting strategically the broad policy outline that needs to be implemented to drive down the overall disease incidence to a containable level in the recovery phase.
The question is: Does this horse drink water?

My father was associate prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials. The concept of the trial was accountability. He would hardly speak of it because he was working with John Ford and George Stevens and others to create/present war crime film from Nazi visuals to seal their conviction. The visuals of what men can do to others left a profound mark. James Donovan had also been general counsel for the OSS in WWII and both of these experiences taught him at an early age that all people have an agenda and you must read people well but be sure to secure your given mandate to enhance the state of humanity.
That knowledge was the reason he was chosen to defend a Russian spy in 1957. Steven Spielberg understood all this and created Bridge of Spies with Tom Hanks portraying my father as the negotiator. John Kennedy knew this and asked him to go into Cuba and get out the Bay of Pigs Brigade prisoners as a lone negotiator (as he was running for U.S. senator).
These were several things he did that, as his daughter, made me so utterly proud and tied to history. History shows us how a country can be impacted by solo, rogue decisions of a person and be on the wrong side of history. If you combine it with well-hidden racism, it can devastate future generations of any color.
The single act that told me what we were in for was a person who shouted out “You lie!” to the entire country in a sacred forum. It said that anyone can now have permission to insert themselves and feel they have rights above others because of self-pomposity. Look at that date and then look what the downward spiral of random insidious acts have followed it for years now.
