Enough Pie is calling for artists to participate in the next step of its project “In Bloom: Awakening Vivian Moultrie Park.” The program will paint 47 columns underneath the Interstate-26 underpass between King and Mt. Pleasant streets. Applications to be a supporting artist are due March 8.

South Carolina-native plants are the theme for each mural, with focus given to color and the diverse range across the state’s ecosystem.

Murals were painted on 30 of the columns during phase one of the project. The next phase will be complete by May 8. Enough Pie will provide a one-time stipend to artists. The columns are 8.5-feet tall, so artists are encouraged to bring their own ladders, if possible.

Interested applicants can send three-five art samples along with their contact info to ace@enoughpie.org.
