Songwriter and lead guitarist of Grammy Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish Mark Bryan dropped a new solo album Midlife Priceless last Friday.

This record is Bryan’s fourth solo album, though it’s been three years since his last album hit the shelves. Since then, Hootie & the Blowfish reunited and embarked on their 2019 Group Therapy Tour before Bryan refocused on the solo work.

To kick off the release of Midlife Priceless, he hosted a livestream concert April 1 at his new studio, Stone Point.

Bryan intentionally released a handful of singles, including “Wanna Feel Something” and “A Little More Rock n Roll,” before dropping the album as he said it reflects the range of moods and musical styles that are ingrained in the tracks.

In celebration of the new record, he announced on Facebook that he will host an album release party at The Windjammer on Friday, June 18. Playing alongside the guitarist is a band dubbed Happy Heaven Sunshine, which includes the musicians who played on Midlife Priceless, including Hank Futch, Gary Greene, Tim Nielsen, Matt Zutell, Wyatt Durrette and Scottie Frier among others.

Check out the new album on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, Amazon Music, YouTube and more.
