What you need to know: S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control issued a statement late Friday saying that the Johnson & Johnson version of the COVID-19 vaccine is now able to be distributed in South Carolina. Earlier in the day, national health officials lifted a federal pause on distribution and administration of the vaccine due to isolated incidents of blood clotting issues. Source: S.C. DHEC

South Carolina health officials reported 511 confirmed cases of the coronavirus on Saturday, with 10 confirmed deaths.

With 30,596 tests reported Saturday, 5.3% were positive.
