Best Tour Company
Bulldog Tours

What started as a hobby in 2001 has grown to one of the most renowned touring companies in the country. Depending on what you like, Bulldog Tours has a tour that will entertain and educate. The iconic jail tour, featured on the TV show Ghost Hunters, is the cream of the crop for ghost tours.

The Charleston Strolls history tours, departing twice a day from the Mills House hotel, have become a must-do for locals and tourists alike. And the cuisine tours, partially inspired by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, have been featured in Bon Appetit magazine. And, they do not shy away from mentioning the influence enslaved peoples have had on the legacy of Lowcountry cuisine.

All of this is pretty impressive, but the fact that it has raised $4.4 million to preserve Charleston’s history is perhaps the clincher in it being the champion of Charleston historical companies.
