Home Team BBQ added its sixth location Wednesday, when operating partners Aaron Siegel, Taylor Garrigan, Sean Daniher and Tony Mckie opened the doors to the 7,000-square-foot Home Team BBQ of Greenville, located on the outskirts of downtown in the new Holland Park development along the planned extension of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The restaurant, which features a large mural of musician Colonel Bruce Hampton in the entryway, is now open Wednesday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-midnight “while they get settled in the new space,” a press release said.
The four partners designed the building themselves with the help of Jenny Keenan Designs and Mcginnis Leathers. There’s keepsakes from past Home Team events and other touches that hint at the group’s passion for music, including a Marcus King print and gallery of Southern rock band posters on the walls.

“The design team’s collaboration was at its best” Siegel said in the release, adding that, “it is especially sweet to share our barbecue with the Greenville community after the uncertainty we felt last spring. This project has been a labor of love for close to four years.”
Beau Beckner will lead the Home Team BBQ of Greenville kitchen as executive chef. After attending Le Cordon Bleu in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Beckner joined Home Team in 2013, serving as executive chef at the West Ashley location before accepting the new role upstate.
Look for familiar Home Team favorites, some of which will have a Mexican twist, like the tacos and nachos. In addition, keep an eye out for Home Team of Greenville’s daily specials, which will be posted on social media like the other locations.
