Charleston County Parks (CCPRC) is getting set to open its three area waterparks for daily operations after having been closed for the colder months and the coronavirus pandemic.
Splash Island. Sitting at Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park, Splash Island offers hours of fun for toddlers and children with attractions like the 200-foot-long body flume, activity pool, waterfalls, geysers and more. Splash Island opens June 5.
Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark. Located at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park, Whirlin’ Waters is the largest of the three CCPRC waterparks, featuring unique activities for guests of all ages and attractions like the 60-foot-tall multi-person slide, The Washout. Whirlin’ Waters opens June 19.
Splash Zone. Splash Zone in James Island County Park offers safe family fun for everyone. The waterpark features two 200-foot-long slides, a large leisure pool, a 500-foot lazy river and The Rainforest, a family play complex. Splash Zone opens June 19.
All three waterparks offer a full range of amenities including concessions, lockers for securing items, lounge chairs, showers and restrooms. Each waterpark is staffed with certified lifeguards. Waterparks are open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Park admission fees vary. Splash Passes offer unlimited waterpark access all season, and are available for sale now at charlestoncountyparks.com.
