Forthcoming Sullivan’s Island eatery The Longboard Restaurant + Bar will pop-up twice in June ahead of its anticipated July opening. On Tuesday, June 8, Longboard chef Will Fincher will serve “island-inspired plates” at Doar Bros. before popping up at Graft Wine Shop Monday, June 14 during its “No Corkage Monday” event.

“The Longboard Sullivan’s Island has been a long time in the making, and our team is eager to share our food with the community,” said Longboard managing partner Clint Gaskins. “These pop-ups are an incredible opportunity for us to give folks a taste of what’s to come at our new spot on the Island, and we’re excited to introduce some of the inspiration that will drive our food program.”

The Longboard, which will be located at 2213B Middle St., is the Ballast Hospitality Group’s third restaurant — the other two are located in St. John and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The group opened its flagship restaurant — also called The Longboard — in May 2015. Once open, the Sullivan’s Island iteration will “focus on innovative and refined island fare, utilizing coastal flavors, fresh and specialty seafood, tropical produce, and local farms and fishermen,” a press release said.

At Doar Bros., look for dishes like hemp seed jian dui with seafood sausage and sweet mango-chile ponzu and a preview of The Longboard’s “Mi Boy Lilikoi” cocktail, made by combining Reposado tequila, mezcal, passion fruit, habanero and lime. Then at Graft, Fincher will serve surf and turf skewers, oysters with smoked peach mignonette and more.

Both events are first come, first served. For more information, visit thelongboardsullivans.com
